At TAS Audio LLC (Ted's Audio Systems) , we stand behind the quality of our audio equipment. Each product comes with a comprehensive manufacturer warranty to ensure your complete satisfaction.
DS18 Product Warranty
DS18 2-Year Limited Warranty
DS18 products purchased from Ted's Audio Systems are covered by DS18's 2-Year Limited Warranty, which protects against flaws in the initial production of purchased goods. Any faults or defects in materials or workmanship that present themselves during the warranty period will be corrected right away.
What's Covered
The DS18 warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. If a product is returned within two years of purchase and determined to be faulty according to warranty guidelines, it will be replaced.
What's Not Covered
The following circumstances are not covered by DS18's warranty:
- Damage resulting from falls, foreign item damage, or accidents
- Damage brought on by carelessness or abuse (including injury to returned goods from inadequate or improper packing)
- Damage brought on by incorrect installation
- Damage caused by utilizing the product outside of recommended parameters (for example, overpowering speakers or subwoofers, or operating an amplifier below a 1 ohm load)
- Damage brought on by distortion and/or clipping (improper tuning)
- Products that have been tampered with (modified or repaired products)
- Theft
- Any item acquired via an unofficial DS18 dealer
- Item abuse (classified as repetitive returning of the same item with the same injury)
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic damage that doesn't affect functionality
Warranty Evaluation Process
DS18 meticulously checks every returned item when evaluating whether a product is covered by warranty. Each returned product is extensively tested by DS18's professional audio team to identify the root of the product's malfunction. Based on the criteria above, DS18 holds complete discretion in deciding whether a product is covered by warranty or not.
Replacement Policy
Any item(s) qualified for warranty coverage may be replaced by DS18 with a device that has been reconditioned and is of equivalent quality. DS18 maintains the right to substitute the model of product that is most comparable to the original product in lieu of discontinued items being replaced under warranty.
Note: DS18's Return Policy may apply differently for products purchased within 30 days, depending on their place of purchase.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you experience issues with your DS18 audio system:
- Contact us with your order number and detailed description of the issue
- Provide proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation from Ted's Audio Systems)
- We'll coordinate with DS18 to assess the issue and provide repair, replacement, or refund options
- Return shipping may be required for evaluation and testing
- Ensure proper packaging to avoid damage during return shipment
Other Manufacturer Warranties
Products from other manufacturers may have different warranty terms. Warranty periods typically range from 1-3 years from date of purchase. Contact us for specific warranty information on non-DS18 products.
